Spin & Pick with
Stunning Image Wheels

A regular spinner wheel shows text labels. An image wheel shows pictures — an animal photo, a country flag, a food item, a student's face. That difference matters more than it sounds. When a second-grader sees a lion's face land on the pointer, they recognize it instantly without needing to read. When a language teacher spins vocabulary flashcards in a foreign script, the image gives context that a word alone can't.

The most common classroom use is vocabulary review. A teacher loads 12 animal images, spins, and asks students to name it, spell it, or use it in a sentence — no worksheet needed, just a wheel on the projector. ESL teachers do the same with everyday objects: a chair, a clock, a pencil. The image does the prompting.

It's also useful for things that have nothing to do with education. Family game nights where you spin a food image to decide what to cook. Party games where everyone's photo goes on the wheel and whoever lands gets a dare. A travel group deciding which city to visit next, with a flag for each option. The visual element makes the result feel more concrete and less arbitrary than text alone.

You can upload your own images to any segment — just click the image icon next to an entry. The wheel handles sizing automatically, fitting each image into its segment without cropping awkwardly. If you don't upload an image, the segment shows the label text instead, so you can mix image and text entries on the same wheel if that's useful.

The spin result shows the image full-size in a popup, which is the part that works well on a projector. Students at the back of a classroom can see a large animal photo clearly. The tick sound while spinning and the winner reveal give it enough theater to keep a class of 25 engaged — which is honestly the point of using a visual spinner in the first place rather than just calling on someone randomly.
